A landscape of ancient forests, sheer cliffs and mesmerising views passes by your window. Settle in, open a book or enjoy a pre-dinner drink with your fellow travellers.
OVERNIGHT: 3 nights Indian Pacific (D)

Day 2

Wake up with a coffee as you arrive in Broken Hill, a classic Australian mining town. Connect with the town’s world-famous artists and mining heritage with a choice of Off Train Excursions. Your journey continues through the southern Flinders Ranges, with a delicious lunch before you arrive in cosmopolitan Adelaide, the South Australian capital. Embark on an afternoon Off Train Excursion to the Adelaide Hills, or the world-famous Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions. After dinner, reboard the train and continue your journey west. (B,L,D)

Day 3

Enjoy breakfast as you begin your crossing of the Nullarbor Plain, taking its name from the Latin word meaning ‘no trees’. Part way along the world’s longest stretch of straight railway track (478km), have a wander around Cook, an abandoned railway town that was once home to a bush hospital and more than 50 railway workers. Next stop is tiny Rawlinna, a remote outpost bordering the largest sheep station in the southern hemisphere. Here you’ll enjoy an outback dinner under a glorious spread of stars (seasonal). (B,L,D)

Day 4

Your breakfast treat this morning is watching the delightful Avon Valley pass by your window, as the final stage of your
transcontinental crossing to Perth unfolds. Transfer to your accommodation.
OVERNIGHT: 4 nights Rendezvous Hotel Perth Central (B,L)

Day 5

With informative commentary, the Triple Tour Deluxe is a terrific way to get to know Perth and Fremantle. Included is a
48-hour hop-on/hop-off pass on the Perth Explorer, an open-top, double-decker bus. Tour around Perth and Kings Park
at your own pace, stopping at the attractions that spark your interest. See the city from the water on a return Swan
River Cruise between Perth and Fremantle, and enjoy your day as you please. (B)

Day 6

Continue with your Triple Tour Deluxe today. Take advantage of the day-pass on the hop-on/hop-off Fremantle Tram Tour, and enjoy a fully escorted visit to the historic Fremantle Prison. Don’t forget lunch at Fishing Boat Harbour, a must for any visitor to Fremantle. (B)

Day 7

Wadjemup Lighthouse and the boardwalk lookout at the rugged West End. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Karma Rottnest Lodge before exploring the island at your leisure (make sure you see a quokka). Back in Perth, discover some the city’s many laneway bars and restaurants. (B,L)
