Day 1 (Wednesday)


Depart Sydney aboard the Indian Pacific this afternoon and start a true journey of contrasts. As you venture beyond the city limits, settle back, open a book or enjoy the social atmosphere of the Lounge. This evening delight in a sumptuous dinner before retiring to your cabin. (D)

Day 2 (Thursday)


Wake up with a coffee as you arrive in Broken Hill, a classic mining town. Here you can explore the beauty of this Silver City on an Off Train Excursion. The remainder of the day is spent onboard watching the passing of scenery, chatting with new found friends and indulging in a delicious lunch before arriving in the city of Adelaide. On arrival, transfer to your accommodation. (B,L)

Day 3 (Friday)


Depart the city towards Glenelg to take the coastal route to the Fleurieu Peninsula. The beautiful mid-south coast, with its glistening vistas of the Gulf St Vincent and pristine beaches awards your arrival to McLaren Vale wine region. Pass through rolling vineyards to visit up to five beautiful wineries in the ‘Vale’. Each one is steeped in history with friendly knowledgeable staff, happy to guide you through each wine tasting experience. Best known for Shiraz, the region excels with Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay as well as Spanish and Italian varieties such as Fiano, Vermentino, Tempranillo, Mouvedre, Nero d’Avola & Sangiovese. Day 4 (Saturday)


Today is yours to explore the city of Adelaide at your leisure. Take a stroll along North Terrace to visit the Museum or Art Gallery. (B)

Day 5 (Sunday)


This world-renowned wine region is a must see for wine lovers. Full of history, this region is home to over 80 cellar doors. Visit one of the oldest vineyards in the world, with Shiraz vines planted in 1843 (that’s over 170 years old). Enjoy up to four wineries / cellar doors and be guided through the wine tasting experience by passionate vignerons. Two wine regions combine to make up the Barossa Valley; Eden Valley for amazing Riesling and cool climate wines and Barossa Valley, home to some of the world’s best Shiraz as well as Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon Mataro, Semillon and Chardonnay. Day 6 (Monday)


Today is yours to discover Adelaide at your own pace. Do a spot of shopping in Rundle Mall, take the tram to the seaside suburb of Glenelg or simply indulge in the comforts of your accommodation. (B)

Day 7 (Tuesday)


Leaving the hustle and bustle behind, head to Mt Lofty Summit and take in the vista of the city of Adelaide. Visit Woodside Cheese for a delicious cheese tasting. Make sure to taste their award winning cow and goat milk cheese. For those with a sweet tooth, Melba’s Chocolate Factory is sure to please. Here you’ll see the array of delicious chocolate and candy and have the opportunity to purchase any treats before heading to your first wine tasting. Next, visit two of Adelaide Hills popular wineries where you will discover the history of the area as well as get the opportunity to taste some of their delicious wines.. You’ll then have time to explore the many art galleries, museums, cafes and boutique shops of Hahndorf. A quick stop to Beerenberg Farm Shop, famous for their jams, jellies and dessert sauces, before your final winery for the day where you will enjoy another delicious wine tasting before making your way back to Adelaide city. Day 8 (Wednesday)


Today is at your leisure. Discover more of this cosmopolitan city by tram or by foot. Alternatively, why not add another tour. (B)

Day 9 (Thursday)


Take in any last-minute sights today. Begin your journey this evening at a beautiful Adelaide restaurant where you will enjoy a sumptuous dinner featuring modern Australian cuisine before being transferred to the Adelaide Parklands Terminal for a late evening departure aboard the Indian Pacific. Sleep comfortably as you head north-west to the vast expanse and beauty of the Nullarbor Plain. (B, D)

Day 10 (Friday)


Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then marvel at the ever-changing landscape passing by your window before settling down to a regionally inspired lunch. Dinner under the stars awaits at Rawlinna; the remote and beautiful outpost that borders a little sheep station of a mere 2.5 million acres (8,000 square kilometres) (weather permitting). (B, L, D)

Day 11 (Saturday)


After a restful sleep, you are greeted by daybreak and breakfast in the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley as you head to your destination of Perth in the mid-afternoon after enjoying a delightful lunch. (B, L)
