THE PINNACLES

On a daytrip north of Perth, stop at Yanchep National Park to walk along the 240m Koala Boardwalk and get up close to koalas as they sit in the eucalyptus trees. Further north is the small fishing town of Cervantes, the hub of the region’s multi-million-dollar lobster industry. Walk across tanks holding 20 tonnes of live rock lobsters at the Lobster Shack, followed by a fresh lobster lunch. Continuing north into Nambung National Park, view The Pinnacles on a scenic drive before an easy-paced walk through this eerie, fascinating landscape. Day 3

PERTH, FREMANTLE

After breakfast, your City Explorer tour takes in the major attractions of the city’s revitalised CBD, including the Western Australian Cricket Ground (WACA), the newly opened Elizabeth Quay and Perth Mint. In scenic Kings Park you can tackle the Tree Top Walkway and take in some amazing city skyline views. Enjoy a drive through Perth’s affluent western suburbs to picturesque Cottesloe Beach and the heritage-listed port town of Fremantle. With an eclectic mix of artists, backpackers, fisherfolk and students, ‘Freo’ buzzes with the songs of buskers as footpaths fill with art collections and music drifts out from cafés and bars. Spend some time exploring before returning to Perth. In the evening, discover some of Perth’s inner-city laneways, buzzing with bars, live music and street art. (B)
